The Soyuz 1973-S Deluxe is a large-diaphragm FET condenser microphone that blends the spirit of early FET microphones with a modern, compact, and versatile design.

It features a hand-crafted S023 capsule, derived from the one found in the renowned Soyuz 023 Bomblet. This 33mm dual-diaphragm capsule delivers detailed, natural reproduction, with a sonic signature designed to remain musical without becoming cold or clinical.

The 1973 Deluxe also incorporates a specially designed resonator that reduces unwanted resonances while acting as a built-in pop filter. This design makes it particularly well-suited for vocals, voice-overs, podcasts, and any recording requiring a clear, balanced sound.

Its transformerless FET circuitry ensures very low self-noise while preserving the distinctive Soyuz sonic character. It performs equally well on delicate sources and high-SPL instruments.

With its built-in -10 dB and -20 dB pads and a maximum SPL of 140 dB, the 1973-S Deluxe handles sources like kick drums, guitar amps, and other high-volume instruments with ease.

Its compact housing also makes it easy to position the microphone in tight spaces or when setting up multiple mics around an instrument.
