Soyuz microphones 017 FET

The Soyuz 017 FET is a large-diaphragm FET condenser microphone designed to capture the depth, richness, and musical character of classic vintage studio microphones within a modern design.

It features the S17 cardioid capsule, developed and manufactured by Soyuz. This capsule utilizes dual 34mm diaphragms—one of which is gold-sputtered and hand-tuned—delivering highly detailed sound reproduction with rich, balanced lows, smooth mids, and an open, silky high-end.

The 017 FET excels at capturing the finest nuances while maintaining a solid, substantial sound. It is particularly well-suited for vocals, strings, piano, and acoustic instruments, yet its fast transient response allows it to accurately reproduce sources rich in transients.

The 017 series includes both FET and Tube versions. Both models utilize the same capsule and share a similar sonic signature; however, the 017 FET offers a faster, tighter transient response, whereas the 017 TUBE provides a slightly smoother, more rounded high-end.

The 017 FET’s circuitry incorporates a proprietary Soyuz toroidal transformer, designed and wound in-house. This architecture adds depth, color, and dimension to the signal while maintaining excellent precision.

With a maximum SPL of 140 dB and an included -20 dB pad, the 017 FET is also capable of handling high-level sources such as guitar amplifiers, drums, and percussion.

The microphone comes with a shock mount, a hard mount, a -20 dB pad adapter, and a custom-made oak storage box. Key Features
