Jam RetroVibe mk.4 (Uni-Vibe)
Featuring a significantly improved 100% analog circuit and enhanced with a tap-tempo feature, the compact JAM PEDALS RetroVibe mk.4 effects pedal perfectly reproduces the Uni-Vibe / Vibrato / vintage chorus sounds we’re all looking for, in a reliable, rugged, and optimized modern version (internal voltage boosted to 15 VDC for optimal dynamics and amplitude).
Real-time control of the speed parameter is possible via an optional expression pedal (compatible with any passive 10k model and TRS cable).
The “tap” switch allows you to adjust the tempo on the fly. Holding it down activates the “ramp” function to gradually transition from the current speed to a second speed determined by the user.
An internal trimmer control allows you to adjust the maximum intensity of the effect.
Previous versions of the RetroVibe have been used by Nels Cline, David Hidalgo, Andy Timmons, J Mascis, Ruban Nielson, Simon McBride, Cesar Rosas, Dweezil Zappa, Greg Koch, Ler LaLonde, Julien Kasper, Adam Levy, and Josh Smith.
The mkIV has won over J Mascis, Simon McBride, Paul Gilbert, and Joey Landreth.
