Thorpyfx Heavy Water Dual Boost MKII

Manufactured in England using high-performance components, the THORPYFX Heavy Water Dual Boost MKII effects pedal is an evolution of the ThorpyFX The Dane, combining two analog boost circuits with individual controls.
On one side is an incredibly transparent Clean Boost; on the other, a more intense boost built around germanium diodes. The Heavy Water Dual Boost MKII offers a wide range of tonal options—it’s equally effective for simply boosting the output level, enhancing clean tones, or enriching the overdrive of your tube amp.

The first circuit is a Clean Boost with high dynamic headroom. You can significantly boost the output level without altering the definition or dynamics of the original signal.
The second circuit has a more pronounced character thanks to a pair of germanium diodes that produce progressive clipping. It generates warm, subtly compressed distortion with plenty of harmonics, a pronounced attack, and remarkable responsiveness.
Both circuits can be activated independently or combined in a cascade. In this configuration, you’ll have access to rich tones, beautiful organic compression, and plenty of harmonic density.
Increasing the Clean Boost level in the Germanium circuit will remind connoisseurs of the characteristic overdrive obtained by pushing a tube power amp.
