Tascam MZ-223

The MZ-223 is a rack-mount mixer designed for permanent installation in stores, public facilities, restaurants, bars, theme parks, and hotels. It allows you to distribute voice announcements and background music from different sources to three zones. Each of the seven inputs (five stereo, two mono) can be assigned to one or all of the three zones.

The mixer offers five stereo inputs for line-level signals from analog sources: media players, tuner, cassette decks, and more. Two of these inputs can be switched to phono mode for connecting a turntable. Each stereo input has its own gain control, peak indicator, and fader. Two additional microphone inputs, also equipped with level controls, LED level indicators, and 3-band EQs, are available for voice announcements, PA, karaoke, or any other application (dynamic microphones only). When used for announcements, for example, the built-in Talkover function automatically lowers the music volume based on the voice level.

Each of the three main output zones is equipped with a level control, an LED level indicator, and a 3-band equalizer. There is also an independent monitoring output for the control room and a headphone output with level control for pre-fader monitoring of the selected input or one of the main outputs.
