The compact SPACEMAN EFFECTS Atlas IV Preamp Booster (Olive Drab) effects pedal takes over from the popular Atlas III, greatly expanding the range of sound options.
When paired with a tube amp set to a crunch tone (on the edge of breakup), the Atlas IV will produce organic, expressive, and responsive overdrive tones. It will capture every nuance of your playing.
It will be an invaluable tool for enhancing your solos or maximizing the potential of other overdrive pedals.

Its 100% analog circuit, built around field-effect transistors (FETs), is capable of generating up to 15 dB of boost, with a wide and very natural dynamic response.
But the Atlas IV is more than just a volume booster! You’ll quickly realize that your tones are beautifully enriched with new harmonics, added presence, depth, and clarity—all without altering the fundamental character of your instrument.
Its response, reminiscent of a tube amp, ensures musicality in both clean and overdriven tones.

The Atlas IV features two new filters, Thrust and Axis, for even greater flexibility.
Thrust boosts the circuit’s harmonic saturation while slightly reducing headroom (dynamic range). The highs will be brighter, the lows more solid, and the maximum output level will be increased by 5 dB.
The Axis switch adjusts the tonal balance by attenuating low frequencies and boosting the highs. The Atlas IV thus becomes a treble booster that adapts more effectively to your guitar’s pickup types.
The combination of these two features provides you with a wide range of tonal options, from a transparent clean boost to rich, crisp harmonic distortion.
