Shure MVX2U Gen 2

The MVX2U Gen 2 is a high-performance, single-channel XLR-to-USB-C interface designed to simplify recording and streaming setups on desktop computers, tablets, or smartphones. It combines advanced digital audio processing with a compact design, delivering clear, consistent sound with any XLR microphone.

Small enough to fit in a pocket, the MVX2U Gen 2 connects directly to the microphone or an XLR cable. It is powered via USB-C to minimize cable clutter. The MVX2U Gen 2 offers up to +60 dB of gain and 48V phantom power for dynamic and condenser microphones, and includes a 3.5mm headphone jack for latency-free monitoring.

The MVX2U Gen 2 incorporates MOTIV audio processing technologies—such as Auto Level Mode, Real-Time Denoiser, and Digital Popper Stopper™—to ensure clean, consistent audio capture, even in less-than-ideal acoustic environments. Users can manage settings on their desktop, smartphone, or tablet via USB-C using the MOTIV Mix, MOTIV Audio, and MOTIV Video apps. This allows for the activation of audio processing and customization of the sound—including tone, EQ, compression, and limiting—to suit specific needs.



Built-in Shure digital audio processing—featuring Auto Level Mode, Real-Time Denoiser, and Digital Popper Stopper™—operates with zero latency on any XLR microphone. Essential DSP functions (EQ, compressor, limiter, and high-pass filter) are configurable via Shure MOTIV apps. The MVX2U Gen 2 saves your latest settings, ensuring consistent sound across all devices.

Auto Level Mode automatically adjusts gain in real-time using built-in intelligent DSP to maintain a consistent output level. Select your preferred tone from Dark, Natural, or Bright. The Real-Time Denoiser removes unwanted background noise from speech. Disable it for vocals or acoustic instruments.

The Digital Popper Stopper™ attenuates plosives. Optimized for speech; it is best to disable it for instruments.
