Pmc 8-SUB
The PMC8 SUB is a compact standalone subwoofer, ideal for classic multichannel systems or for an XBD setup by combining it with the PMC6 monitor, creating a complete PMC6 XBD system. In “XBD” DSP mode, the speakers and subwoofer work coherently, providing a harmonious integration.
This subwoofer is also perfect for multichannel and immersive setups, thanks to the ATL (Advanced Transmission Line) technology which guarantees a smoother low-frequency extension than traditional subwoofers. This allows a natural transition between the subwoofer and the surround and height channels.
The PMC8 SUB is equipped with an 8-inch long-throw woofer, powered by a 300W Class-D amplifier, and managed by an advanced DSP engine. This DSP offers sophisticated settings for room boundary equalization, parametric EQ, delay, phase inversion, as well as XBD mode. All settings can be configured via the rear panel of the speaker or through the browser-based SoundAlign™ software.
Frequency response: 25 Hz – 500 Hz (-3 dB) measured at 1 meter in free space and on axis.
Max. continuous sound pressure: 109 dB SPL at 1 meter (quarter space measurement, calculated with +3 dB in mid-space).
Unweighted input test: pink noise 20 Hz - 20 kHz (IEC) with 12 dB CF over a period of 2 hours according to AES2-1984.
High-performance 300 W Class D amplifier for powerful and efficient reproduction.
Digital inputs: analog/AES3 (16/24 bit, sampling rate 18 to 192 kHz).
Digital output "Through": AES3, 24 bit, 96 kHz.
SoundAlign Network Control Interface: Allows advanced equalization, as well as custom settings for individual or group configurations.
Advanced DSP protection options for speakers, adjustable equalization, delay/phase.
Dedicated XBD configuration mode: For optimized performance in dual subwoofer configurations.
