Mayer emi MD900 Desktop Synthesizer
The Extended Virtual Analog (XVA) synthesizer Mayer-EMI MD900 is a modern polyphonic desktop synthesizer with 16 voices and a touchscreen display. In addition to VA synthesis, it incorporates wavetables, drum sounds, and a MIDI clip launcher.
The overall audio path is stereo, including oscillator, mixer, filter, amps, and effects.
For sound synthesis, it features two oscillators that can operate in VA mode with morphable waves or wavetable mode. It offers 32 pre-installed wavetables with the ability to import user wavetables in the future.
Two multi-mode filters are available, capable of independent or coupled operation. Each voice includes 4 envelope generators and 3 LFOs for modulation.
The MD900 offers four multitimbral parts (A, B, C, D), each with an arpeggiator and independent step sequencer. Each part includes its own effects chain featuring chorus, vibrato, reverb, tube amp, EQ, LP filter, limiter, and stereo delay.
A dedicated drum sound section allows sampling and importing custom samples. Additionally, the drum section can serve as a control source for effects via side-chain.
The aluminum chassis is complemented by genuine walnut wood on the front and rear panels.
The MD900 XVA engine is compatible with the M800-R2 synthesizer.
