The Kodamo Mask1EX MK2 is a polyphonic desktop digital synthesizer designed and assembled in France, based on proprietary Bitmask synthesis technology. Compact, lightweight, and extremely powerful, it is ideal for both sound designers and live musicians looking for an expressive and innovative instrument.
At the heart of the instrument are two Bitmask digital oscillators per voice, capable of generating up to 512 different waveforms. This unique architecture allows for the creation of a very wide sonic palette, ranging from raw digital textures to more organic and evolving timbres.
The Mask1EX MK2 offers 14-voice polyphony and a multitimbral structure, allowing for the simultaneous playing of multiple layers or parts. It also incorporates an advanced dynamic articulation system (slur, poly-mono, hybrid modes, etc.), which modifies the sonic behavior according to playing style (legato, staccato, intervals), providing an expressiveness rarely found on this type of synthesizer.
Designed for modern sound creation, it features a comprehensive modulation matrix, high-quality built-in effects, and a powerful arpeggiator. Its minimalist interface, based on illuminated buttons and encoders, allows for an intuitive and immediate approach to sound design.
