The Fender California Deluxe Redondo Jr. E features a solid spruce top, a mahogany back and sides (laminated wood), a mahogany neck, and a walnut fingerboard (25.5" scale).
This combination produces a sound that is both warm and clear, with thick, precise bass, rich mids, and generous highs. Its acoustic volume is remarkable given its modest size.
As a compromise between rosewood, mahogany, and maple, walnut offers a well-balanced low-mid-high frequency response combined with remarkable clarity. It is generally used as an alternative to rosewood.
