The Fender California Deluxe Redondo Jr. E Mahogany features a solid mahogany top, a mahogany back and sides (laminated), a mahogany neck, and a walnut fingerboard (25.5" scale).
This combination, inspired by Martin’s 15 Series models, produces a sound that is both rich and warm, with round, punchy bass, particularly pronounced mids, and full-bodied highs.
As a compromise between rosewood, mahogany, and maple, walnut offers a well-balanced low-mid-high frequency response combined with remarkable clarity. Its bass is rich and precise, its mids are full, and its treble is robust, making it a great alternative to rosewood.
In terms of comfort and playability, it’s a remarkable instrument with a very comfortable neck.
