The D5 Series features an attractive and robust new industrial design with the highest quality and durability standards, along with excellent sound and unmatched feedback resistance for professional musicians.
Based on extensive market research and performance testing conducted in 2006, AKG has incorporated superior transducer technology with maximum isolation of handling noise to deliver pristine of vocals in every venue from small clubs to large concert stages.
The D5 dynamic vocal microphone features a dent-resistant spring steel wire mesh grille cap for maximum protection of the capsule and a rugged zinc alloy die-cast housing, which can withstand tough use during animated live performances. An integrated shock absorber system minimizes handling noise exceptionally well.
The D5 dynamic includes the new Laminate VarimotionTM diaphragm technology to deliver smooth frequency response and the highest gain-before-feedback.
The D5 is also available in a switched model, the D5S, which features an On/Off switch on the body.
