An Ultra-Versatile Sample Machine
The Squarp Instruments Rample is much more than just a Eurorack sample player. A true modular drum machine, it can handle up to four simultaneous .wav files, distributed across independent audio outputs. Whether it's punchy breakbeats, punchy drum kits, synth pads, vocals, FX, or long audio tracks, anything is possible.

Samples are organized into kits on the included SD card, with a folder structure ranging from A00 to Z99—that's up to 2,600 different banks loaded on the fly. The card already includes a large sound library, but importing your own kits is a breeze.

Bonus: thanks to the DC-coupled outputs, the Rample can also send control waveforms (CVs), like wavetables!

Four Built-In Effects Racks
Each voice has its own effects rack, which can be used simultaneously to sculpt and distort sounds in real time. Whether you're looking for a subtle filter or total sonic chaos, you've got the tools:

Pitch: -1 to +1 octave transposition with 6-pole interpolation.

Bits: Two types of bitcrushing (reducing the bit depth and sample rate) for a delicious lo-fi distortion.

Filter: Low-resonance, DJ-style lowpass/hipass.

Freeze: Glitchy looper that captures a fraction of the sample for unexpected effects.

Levels: Adjust gain or add saturation.

Every parameter is editable on the fly, including advanced options like start point, duration, attack/decay envelope, and playback mode. You can also create mute groups for fine-tuned mix control.

Advanced CV Modulations
With its 4 CV inputs, the Rample becomes a true modular playground. Each effect or advanced parameter can be modulated in real time by an external signal: ideal for moving textures, evolving rhythms, or dynamic variations.

Multi-Layer Sampling: Maximum Expressiveness
The multi-sample mode is a major advantage. Each voice can contain up to 12 samples, triggered randomly, cyclically, or via modulation. This allows you to:

simulate realistic drum kits with different velocities,

create organic or random sounds,

assemble polyphonic chords or glitch layers,

or simply expand the contents of a kit up to 48 samples!

Many multi-layer kits are already included, such as acoustic drums recorded at 12 dynamic levels.

CV/Gate and MIDI Connectivity: Complete Integration
Designed for live performance and modular production, the Rample connects via both CV/Gate and MIDI. You can:

trigger samples via Gate,

modulate parameters via CV,

or use it as a standalone MIDI controller, without modular patches.

The MIDI IN port provides full control over each voice and effect. And with the included adapters (stereo jack to MIDI DIN / stereo jack), it's easy to chain multiple Ramples together to create drum machines with 8, 12, 16, or more voices!
