Zoom R12
The Zoom R12 was designed for musicians who want to record and produce without relying on a computer. Ultra-compact and easy to transport, it transforms any space—studio, home, rehearsal room, or tour—into a true creative workspace. Thanks to its color LCD touchscreen, you can quickly navigate your projects and perform all the essential operations: cutting, duplicating, looping, editing, and organizing tracks… all intuitively.
Equipped with two XLR/Jack combo inputs, the R12 accepts both dynamic and condenser microphones (with switchable phantom power) as well as instruments such as guitars, bass, keyboards, and synthesizers. It offers 8 playback tracks, making it easy to build solid demos or more polished tracks ready to share. To sculpt your sound, each track features a 3-band EQ and panning, while the first two inputs have a built-in compressor for cleaner, more balanced recordings.
The R12 also features a comprehensive effects section: reverb, chorus, delay, and more, as well as usable guitar effects compatible with Zoom Guitar Lab, allowing you to further customize your sound chain. Add to that a formidable rhythm section: 150 drum patterns covering a wide range of styles are built-in, providing a solid foundation for composing and recording. You can also enrich your productions by importing audio samples via microSD card or USB flash drive.
Another major advantage is its internal FM synthesizer, offering 18 sounds, fully editable via the touchscreen. It can also be played from a USB-C connected MIDI keyboard, allowing you to compose melodic and harmonic parts directly within your recorder. And thanks to its battery operation (up to 5 hours of battery life), AC power, or USB power, the R12 goes wherever you go, without limitations.
Finally, the sequence playback function lets you create a playlist of your projects: perfect for triggering your tracks as backing tracks during rehearsals, demonstrations, or live performances. The Zoom R12 thus establishes itself as a complete, mobile and inspiring solution for producing, recording and finalizing your tracks with complete freedom.
