The SSL 500 Series ULTRAVIOLET EQ stereo equalizer takes the famous FUSION minimum phase shift EQ section and puts it in the 500 Series format.

The ULTRAVIOLET EQ goes one step further than Fusion by adding two dedicated midrange bands, with a unique Focus control, for the ultimate in EQ flexibility. An ideal partner to the legendary SSL 500 Series Bus Compressor, ULTRAVIOLET EQ builds on the SSL heritage of careful frequency selection and response curves to create a musical and intuitive EQ designed to quickly produce professional quality sound for your mix.

Focus Mode: Focus Mode allows the user to concentrate on problematic frequencies or specific frequencies that they wish to emphasise or attenuate. Pressing the "Focus" switch automatically reduces the selected Q setting and increases the available gain range beyond normal operation by +/-9dB. In the best tradition of flexible SSL workflows, this transforms the smooth, musical sounding SSL EQ into a more surgical tool.
