The BL8 is a half-cardioid surface microphone, using the same capsule as the famous sE8 small-diaphragm condenser.
Its genuine hand-crafted condenser capsule uses an ultra-thin three-micron gold-coated diaphragm for superior transient response.
The BL8 is designed to reproduce low frequencies with astonishing accuracy, often eliminating the need for an additional external bass drum microphone.
It's also compatible with The KellyShu Flatz Isolation System, making it ideal for touring applications.
