Palmer RIVER mosel
The Palmer RIVER Mosel is a high-end active direct box designed for stage, studio, and professional sound reinforcement applications. It converts a high-impedance unbalanced signal—such as that from a guitar, bass, keyboard, or synthesizer—into a low-impedance balanced signal perfectly suited for a mixing console or audio interface.
Its active input stage features a high impedance of 600 kΩ, preserving the character and dynamics of instruments, particularly those equipped with magnetic or piezo pickups.
The Mosel incorporates an isolated transformer with Mu-metal shielding, ensuring effective galvanic isolation to reduce hum, ground loops, and electromagnetic interference.
To accommodate various sources, it features a switchable attenuator (0, -10, -20, or -30 dB) and provides up to +12 dB of gain for low-level signals. A THRU output allows the input signal to be sent simultaneously to an amplifier.
The ground lift system offers two modes—Soft and Hard—to effectively resolve grounding issues encountered in complex audio setups.
The Palmer RIVER Mosel can operate on 48 V phantom power or a 9 V battery, offering great flexibility for both stage and studio use. Key Features
