SOBRE EL PRODUCTO

Graphic by culture. Analog by nature.
Novation's Bass Station II has established itself as a modern classic of analog synthesis since its release in 2013. A staple on stage and in the studio for over a decade, it's renowned for its comprehensive sound design capabilities, strong character, and unbeatable value. This modern classic now gets a new look thanks to Ian "Swifty" Swift, the visionary designer behind the distinctive aesthetics of Mo' Wax, Straight No Chaser, and many others, a key figure in the evolution of the visual identity of hip-hop, jazz, and urban music culture across the UK.

This limited edition Bass Station II features Swifty's signature typography, along with specially printed panels and graphic designs inspired by rave flyers, dubplate culture, and DIY zines, bringing an underground feel to a synth that's been a driving force in electronic music for over a decade.

Bass, but not only
The Bass Station II is equally at home on stage or in the studio. It's capable of producing tones as warm as they are brutal. Modulate the filter to make it sing, increase the distortion for even more aggressive lows, and push the resonance to self-oscillation to make your melodic lines scream.

Undeniably analog, infinitely versatile
The Bass Station II is unparalleled when it comes to producing explosive analog tones, a capability made possible by its two tunable oscillators and a sub-oscillator for bass reinforcement. Add to that a noise source, pulse width modulation, a ring modulator, two distinct analog filter types, and a multitude of modulation options via two LFOs and a pair of ADSR envelopes, and you have everything you need to shape your sound down to the smallest detail.

Complex sound design, made simple
The Bass Station II offers a multitude of intuitively arranged front-panel controls to encourage you to explore all its sonic facets in a fluid and playful way. Created a sound you love? Save it in one of the 64 custom preset locations.

Stay creative with pre-programmed patches
The Bass Station II comes with 64 diverse patches, each of which showcases a different aspect of its sonic capabilities. Looking for new ideas? Open Components (components.novationmusic.com) and you'll find a wide selection of artist presets that you can download for free. Components also serves as the software sound library for the Bass Station II. Its user-friendly interface will help you easily manage all your patches.

And new bonus artist presets
To celebrate the launch of this special edition of Bass Station II, we've curated a selection of new exclusive presets created by some of our favorite artists of the moment. Discover the multitude of new sounds offered by Dutch techno icon Legowelt, alternative pop duo Pecq, and keyboard virtuoso Maria Chiara Argiro.

Built-in arpeggiator and sequencer
Bass Station II will also instantly give you melodic ideas. Launch its sequencer or arpeggiator and let yourself be inspired by their different patterns. Record your own patterns in real time in the sequencer and store them for reuse with a patch. Sequences and arpeggios are automatically synchronized with the music software or MIDI device to which the synth is connected. You can also easily adjust swing values ??with a simple shortcut.

At the center of your setup
The Bass Station II will work seamlessly with all your MIDI-enabled music software and equipment. It features a 5-pin DIN MIDI input and output for connecting external synths, controllers, and sequencers; a sustain pedal input; an external audio input for routing other sounds to analog filters and effects; and a dedicated headphone output. You can also power the Bass Station II via its USB port, and since it's natively compatible, you don't need any drivers to use USB MIDI.

Paraphonic Mode
The Bass Station II is a paraphonic synth, meaning it allows you to play two notes at once instead of just one. Try applying ring modulation, syncing the oscillators, and modulating the filters to produce insane harmonics.

AFX Mode
AFX Mode was created in collaboration with electronic music legend Richard D. James, aka Aphex Twin. It allows you to assign a separate patch to each key on the keyboard. You can assign nearly identical patches to instantly create subtle variations, or play with completely different sounds across the entire keyboard. You can even create complete drum kits and produce rhythms with the keyboard keys or the arpeggiator.

Components
The Components Content Manager allows you to save and restore your Bass Station II's AFX patches or configurations. It also gives you the ability to load third-party tuning charts, customize your greeting, and more. You can download the app for your computer or simply connect your Bass Station II to a Mac® or PC running Chrome™ and log in to components.novationmusic.com.
