Kawai KDP 75 WH
Kawai Japan is pleased to announce the arrival of the KDP75 digital piano in Europe, the first model in the entry-level KDP series. Featuring Kawai's Responsive Hammer Compact mechanism, remarkable sampling of the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX grand piano, and USB-MIDI connectivity compatible with the latest Kawai PianoRemote and PiaBookPlayer applications, this digital piano is also equipped with impressive amplification and speakers. The KDP75 provides an excellent alternative to access the quality of Kawai digital pianos at a very affordable price.
Kawai Responsive Hammer Mechanism with Hammer Detection
The Responsive Hammer Compact (RHC) mechanism of the KDP75 has been specially developed to faithfully reproduce the characteristic touch of a grand acoustic piano. Inspired by the design of the Kawai RH (Responsive Hammer) mechanism, this innovation integrates a mechanism without springs and a robust structure, ensuring smooth and damped movements with a high-quality material. Thanks to this design, keyboard noise is significantly reduced, offering a smooth, natural, and authentic playing experience.
Unlike most instruments in its category, which produce sounds based on key velocity, the realistic mechanism of the KDP75 measures the speed of the weighted hammers when they strike each key. This approach more authentically reproduces the mechanism of an acoustic grand piano, allowing performers to play with a wider range of nuances.
88-Note Sampling of the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX Concert Grand Piano
The KDP75 offers the rich and expressive sound of the renowned Shigeru Kawai SK-EX concert grand piano, recognized as one of the finest instruments in its category by professional pianists and technicians. Each of the 88 keys of this exceptional instrument has been meticulously recorded, analyzed, and faithfully reproduced as high-fidelity digital waveforms. Thanks to the individual recording of each note, the rich and harmonic character of the SK-EX concert grand piano is preserved, ensuring that the sound produced when playing the weighted keys of the KDP75 is an exact reproduction of the original acoustic source.
Kawai's advanced Harmonic Imaging technology ensures smooth expression, allowing seamless transitions from soft pianissimo to thunderous fortissimo without sudden changes in sound. Additionally, the remarkable 192-note polyphony allows for playing complex passages using the sustain pedal without inconvenient note dropout.
USB-MIDI Connection, Compatible Apps, Powerful Amplification & Headphone Listening
To complement its realistic touch and authentic grand piano sounds, the KDP75 offers a variety of convenient features. The presence of the USB-MIDI connection allows, among other things, to connect the KDP75 to the Kawai PianoRemote and PiaBookPlayer applications (iOS/Android), allowing for sound selection and adjustment, or displaying scores of integrated classical studies and pieces.
The KDP75 features a powerful 18W amplification system, premium speakers, and the Low Volume Balance function, which intelligently adjusts the piano's characteristics for optimal expression when playing at low volume. Furthermore, the advanced Spatial Headphone Sound (SHS) technology enhances the depth and realism of sounds heard through headphones or earphones and helps reduce auditory fatigue during prolonged listening.
A realistic mechanism, stunning Shigeru Kawai grand piano sounds, and numerous practical functions, all in a compact and attractive cabinet. Here is the KDP75: An excellent introduction to the quality of Kawai digital pianos at a very affordable price.
