Poplar body, roasted Maple bolt-on neck, Rosewood fretboard, Precision/Jazz Bass pickup configuration.
Body is made of Poplar, considered as a nice alternative for Alder, with close balanced tonal characteristics.
The lighter feel, subtler grain and cheaper cost of Poplar is perfect for affordable instruments.
