Hofner HCT-500/1-BK Contemporary Violin bass - black
Recreating the style of the 1964 version, the HOFNER Violin Bass Contemporary (HCT-500/1-BK) is a contemporary version of the Hofner Violin Bass, featuring a sustain block inside the body to give modern, deep-resonating bass sounds while still retaining the original Hofner Beatles bass sound. With a short scale of 30" and the small violin bass body it is one of greatest electric bass guitars ever made.
Fingerboard is made of Brazilian Cherry / Jatoba. It is a tonewood very similar to Pau Ferro. Its warm tone is tempered by a snappy attack. In between Rosewood and Maple.
