Gibson L-00 Standard (Baggs HiFi DNA Preamp) - vintage sunburst
Produced from 1932 to 1945 in its first version, the Gibson L-00 was an extremely popular compact steel-string acoustic guitar at the time. With its compact size and short scale length, this model from the “L Small Body” series appeals to musicians with its comfortable ergonomics and remarkably balanced tone.
The GIBSON Modern Collection LG-00 Standard (MCSBL0HFVS) is an electro-acoustic reinterpretation of this historic steel-string acoustic guitar, enhanced with the Baggs HiFi DNA preamp.
Featuring an all-solid-wood construction (Sitka spruce top, mahogany body and neck, and a 19-fret rosewood fingerboard), it delivers beautiful, clear, and dynamic tones—rich and warm with well-defined mids—making it particularly well-suited for fans of fingerpicking, blues, or traditional folk.
The L-00 Standard is equipped with the exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA system.
The HiFi DNA system uses two pickups positioned under the bridge instead of the usual piezo. They perform recordings of vibrations from both the strings and the soundboard. The result is an even more natural and dynamic sound that faithfully reproduces the instrument’s original acoustic character.
Each Baggs HiFi DNA sensor has its own active preamp. The volume and tone controls are located on the inner edge of the soundhole.
