The all-solid-wood construction of the GIBSON Modern Collection J-45 Standard Rosewood (MCRS45RWHFRB) combines traditional woods with a Sitka spruce top, a rosewood body and sides, a mahogany neck, and an Indian rosewood fingerboard (20 frets).
This combination produces a sound that is full, warm, and responsive, with rich, well-defined bass, balanced mids, and crisp highs.
Compared to a model with a mahogany body, the bass is more pronounced, and the harmonic depth is enhanced.

This J-45 Standard Rosewood is equipped with the exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA system.
The HiFi DNA system uses two pickups placed under the bridge instead of the usual piezo. They perform recordings of the vibrations of both the strings and the soundboard. The result is an even more natural and dynamic sound that faithfully reproduces the instrument’s original acoustic character.
Each Baggs HiFi DNA pickup has its own active preamp. The volume and tone controls are located on the inner edge of the soundhole.
