The GIBSON Original Collection Hummingbird Left-Handed (OCSSHBHFHCSL) retains the fundamental characteristics of the original Dreadnought Square Shoulder Hummingbird, enhanced with a Baggs HiFi DNA preamp.

The Gibson Original Hummingbird’s all-solid-wood construction combines traditional woods: a Sitka spruce top, a mahogany body and neck, and an Indian rosewood fingerboard (20 frets). This classic combination—in the best sense of the word—produces a sound that is both full-bodied and powerful, with rich bass, prominent mids, and full-bodied treble that never lacks clarity.
Its natural acoustic volume is ideal for singers who accompany themselves on guitar.

The Hummingbird Original is equipped with the exclusive Baggs HiFi DNA system.
The HiFi DNA system uses two pickups positioned under the bridge instead of the usual piezo pickup. They perform recordings of vibrations from both the strings and the soundboard. The result is an even more natural and dynamic sound that faithfully reproduces the instrument’s original acoustic character.
Each Baggs HiFi DNA sensor has its own active preamp. The volume and tone controls are located on the inner edge of the soundhole.
