The Beyerdynamic DT 73 IE is a professional in-ear monitoring system specifically designed for orchestral musicians, pianists, and keyboardists. Suitable for both stage and studio use, it delivers natural, precise, and uncolored sound reproduction, faithfully preserving the original character of the instruments.

Its sound signature has been optimized for string instruments, wind instruments, and keyboards. The low and mid-range frequencies feature a linear response between 20 Hz and 1 kHz, ensuring natural and balanced signal reproduction. A slight emphasis on high frequencies starting at 5 kHz allows for the precise reproduction of harmonics and details without making the sound harsh or fatiguing.

At the heart of the DT 73 IE lies the TESLA.11 dynamic transducer, developed and manufactured in Germany. It offers excellent detail resolution, high transient precision, and a very low distortion rate of just 0.02%. With an extended frequency response ranging from 5 Hz to 40 kHz and a sound pressure level (SPL) of up to 137 dB, it ensures dynamic and precise reproduction even in the most demanding professional environments.

Thanks to its compact, ergonomic design—based on extensive anatomical analysis of the ear—the DT 73 IE offers an excellent fit and comfort suitable for long playing sessions. It provides up to 39 dB of passive noise isolation, significantly reducing ambient noise on stage or during rehearsals. Five sizes of silicone ear tips and three pairs of Comply™ memory foam tips are included to ensure an optimal fit.

Designed for intensive professional use, the DT 73 IE features a detachable 1.40m cable with gold-plated MMCX connectors. The cable is engineered to minimize structure-borne noise and vibrations transmitted to the earpieces, while the MMCX connection ensures a robust and reliable link. The DT 73 IE also features IP68 certification, ensuring protection against dust and water.
