The Hydrasynth Explorer offers exactly the same synthesis engine, number of voices, etc. as the Desktop and Keyboard version (8 voices). What makes this one special is its compact size, the ASM PolytouchTM polyphonic aftertouch; the 37 medium-sized keys (3 octaves) plus the option of battery operation! This is the product that ASM will introduce to a much wider audience, which will allow for increased brand awareness.
