Enhanced AWM2
MONTAGE M's AWM2 engine delivers exceptional sound realism and definition. With 128 elements per part, it delivers smooth transitions and incomparable sonic richness for instruments such as piano, strings or percussion.

General improvements and new features
MONTAGE M benefits from a complete upgrade of preset wave and flash memory (9.97 GB vs. 5.67 GB previously) and an increase in user flash memory to 3.8 GB. It also features new sounds: pianos, orchestras, drums and much more.
FM-X and VCM behavior
The 8-operator FM-X engine carries on the Yamaha FM heritage to produce dynamic, expressive sounds. VCM rotary behavior and drawbar adjustment simulate the vintage character of classic organs.
Extensive management and libraries
With 16 library slots, you can store up to 10,240 additional performances (in addition to the 2,700 pre-installed) and benefit from quick search by category, name and attribute.
Pure Analog Circuit 2
Pure Analog Circuit 2 reduces noise and improves dynamic range, crosstalk and distortion, delivering a clearer, richer, more balanced sound.
GEX action with polyphonic aftertouch (M8x MOUNT only)
MONTAGE M8x introduces GEX Action with polyphonic aftertouch: each note can be modulated independently according to pressure, just like on the legendary CS-80 and DX1.
New performance controls
MONTAGE M features a 5-segment ribbon with HOLD button, a KEYBOARD HOLD button, and dedicated portamento controls for smooth, intuitive live control.
Keyboard, part and scene control
Dedicated keyboard, part and scene buttons allow you to manage up to 16 parts per performance, enhancing usability and efficiency in concert.
High-resolution control and motion control
All controllers - faders, Super Knob, keyboard and pedals - benefit from high-precision resolution. The Motion Control engine automates and synchronizes parameters with tempo for dynamic performances.
Improved lighting and interface
LEDs on faders and controls provide immediate visual feedback, while enhanced touchscreens simplify navigation and sound editing.
Softsynth ESP plugin (coming soon)
The Expanded Softsynth (ESP) plugin will reproduce MONTAGE M in your favorite DAW. Free for synth owners, it will enable you to create and edit your performances without hardware.
