Jackson X Rhoads RRX24 - matte army drab with black bevels
Jackson® X Series Rhoads models continue the metal legacy pioneered by the immortal Randy Rhoads. Regal and proud, the JACKSON
X Series Rhoads RRX24 (2913636520) solid body electric guitar offers fantastic tone, ultra-fast playability and unbelievable value for 21st century guitarists.
The RRX24 features a Poplar body and through-body maple neck with scarf joint and graphite reinforcement to guard against climate-induced warping. Hosting 24 jumbo frets and pearloid sharkfin inlays, the 12”-16” compound radius bound laurel fingerboard has a more rounded profile at the nut for natural-feeling chording and riffing and gradually flattens towards the heel for optimal shred articulation and bends.
The original Blackouts HB high-output active humbucking pickups deliver all of the power and full-bodied punch that today’s metal players demand from an active pickup. You get the high-output signal level of an active pickup, with a more organic feel and open tonal response that allows the true character of your guitar to come through.
The treble and bass response is extended beyond the range of traditional active pickups and has been carefully balanced with a slightly scooped midrange for the perfect crunch.
This pickup excels at screaming pinched harmonics and is articulate enough for hyper-speed riffage, with responsive dynamics across the entire fretboard.
The RRX24 is also equipped with a recessed Floyd Rose® Special double-locking tremolo system for reliable tuning stability that can withstand aggressive dive bombs, harmonic squeals or flutters.
Poplar is consideder as a nice alternative for Alder, with close balanced tonal characteristics.
The lighter feel, subtler grain and cheaper cost of Poplar is perfect for affordable instruments. Netherless it is used to built some high quality guitars and basses.
Fingerboard is made of Laurel. It's a spectacular and often overlooked guitar tonewood. It has the look and feel to that of East Indian Rosewood, offering rich overtones and brilliant highs that produce lively and dynamic performances. It's sound is often compared to that of Brazilian Rosewood.
